Good to know

Before you book

Is this trip right for you?
  • As most of this trip takes place on a sailing boat, you’ll need to feel comfortable with moving about the vessel, including stairs. Your friendly crew will be able to help with the effects of sea sickness if needed.
  • Time on the water also means time in the sun. Remember to pack sun protection, such as sunscreen and a hat, and drink plenty of water to keep hydrated.
  • This is an adventure on board a real yacht, which means living spaces, cabins, bathrooms and showers need to be shared with other passengers. Sleeping quarters can be quite compact, but you will be spending most of your time above board in the open air.
  • If you’re travelling with your own group of friends or family and would like to book a private departure on this sailing trip, the Tailor-Made team can help.
Important notes

This is a genuine sailing adventure aboard a catamaran. Shared living spaces, compact cabins and bathrooms are part of the experience. Please be prepared for time spent at sea and changing weather conditions.

Visas

Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality and travel circumstances. Please check the latest visa requirements before travelling.

Accommodation notes

Accommodation is aboard the Cataleya catamaran for three nights. The vessel carries up to 14 passengers in three twin/double cabins and two quad cabins with en-suite facilities. Cabins and shared spaces can be compact, while spacious communal areas are available for relaxing and enjoying the open air.

As a solo female traveler this 7 day sail trip was everything I needed and hoped for. I met great people, we saw the best views, got to sleep under the stars, had plenty of exclusive snorkeling away from busy areas. The captain and crew were on top of things every step of the way. I am so happy I did this with them.

This was my first Intrepid trip and I have not stopped recommending it to people since we left the boat! The whole crew was fantastic, the scenery was incredible and the food was next level. One of the best experiences I have had.

We had an incredible 7-day sailing holiday around the Andaman Sea on the catamaran Catalaya. The entire trip exceeded our expectations. Our guide Nolte was fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and always making sure we experienced the very best spots. The crew were very hospitable and attentive, they created such a relaxed and safe atmosphere on board. Every meal was delicious, varied, and incredibly satisfying.

We had an excellent sailing trip! Our guide, Nolte, was great and so knowledgeable. Our chef was outstanding and made me great vegetarian meals. Missing boat life already!

The itinerary and the cruise are excellent food with excellent. The only downside was very tiny cabins with no ventilation or air-conditioning in a very hot environment.
