Arrive in Bangkok and begin your family adventure in Thailand's colourful capital. Get settled before meeting your group and expert leader, with plenty of opportunities to explore the city, markets and famous sights.
DAY 02
Kanchanaburi
Travel to Kanchanaburi, a region rich in history and natural beauty. Visit the famous Bridge on the River Kwai and discover more about the area's fascinating past before enjoying time with your family.
DAY 03
Erawan National Park
Head into Erawan National Park, famous for its beautiful waterfalls surrounded by lush forest. Spend time enjoying the turquoise pools and natural scenery before returning to your accommodation.
DAY 04
Ayutthaya
Explore the ancient ruins of Ayutthaya with your family and uncover the stories behind Thailand's historic former capital. Enjoy a guided temple tour before continuing your journey north aboard an overnight sleeper train.

Chiang Mai

Before you book
Is this trip right for you?
- Prepare for hot and sticky temperatures during the day, but cooler climates in the evening. Layers are the best way to tackle this. Be sure to also drink plenty of water and use sun protection.
- You and your family will visit several temples on this trip, which means covering up arms and shoulders as per the local custom. A light scarf is a great idea for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.
- Your overnight train journey on Day 4 is quite long. Make the most of it by checking out the scenery and chatting with local travellers. While bedding is supplied, some families choose to bring their own sleep sheets.

The trip was super well organised. For a family of 4 with children 11 and 9, it was an amazing mix of experiences but with time to enjoy the pool at each accommodation. The leader was knowledgeable and super considerate of family needs.
A fantastic experience. The tour was so well organised, we didn't have to think about anything. Amazing guide and the other families on the trip were lovely. Our kids bonded instantly which was wonderful to see. Daily excursions were all enjoyable and interesting. Our first Intrepid holiday but it won't be our last.
